MRT-3 suffers 2nd glitch on Sunday afternoon, unloads 350 passengers

MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-) has resumed  normal operations after one of its trains encountered a technical problem Friday afternoon.

The MRT-3 management said a northbound train stalled at the Magallanes station at around 2:45 p.m due to a technical problem.

Around an hour later, the said train gained traction and MRT-3 engineers and technicians declared it  safe for passenger service, the management said.

By 4 p.m., 13 trains were running and operations have gone back to normal.

The management apologized for the inconvenience caused by the incident.  / gsg
