Police declare Bulacan massacre solved; arrest 2 suspects
MANILA, Philippines — Police have declared the massacre of a woman and her two children in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan as case solved following the arrest of two suspects in the crime on Thursday (April 4).
Police Colonel Chito Bersaluna, director of the Bulacan Provincial Police Office, reported the arrest of Wilson Nosal, 23, and his cohort Joselito Cortez, 48. Both suspects were captured during the joint operations of the police and National Bureau of Investigation.
The two were tagged behind the killing of Jaymee Casabuena Biding, a 28-year-old single mother, and her two eight- and four-year-old sons. Police said the victims’ bodies were almost bloated when found inside their home in Barangay (village) Kaypian at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday (April 3).
According to Bersaluna, the identification and arrest of the suspects stemmed from statements of several witnesses to the crime.
Police said Nosal, who was arrested at 4:30 a.m., admitted killing the three and pointed at Cortez as his cohort. Cortez was arrested in a follow-up operation at around 7 a.m.

Article continues after this advertisementPolice also said that the initial motive of the suspects was to rob the house, however, the victims resisted prompting the suspects to stab them multiple times leading to their death.

According to police, they also found the blood-stained clothes of the suspects at a creek near the crime scene.
The suspects will face charges of robbery with homicide. /jpv
