NCRPO cops nab trike driver facing frustrated murder raps

MANILA, Philippines — Operatives of National Capital Region Office-Special Operations Unit (RSOU) arrested a tricycle driver accused of frustrated murder on Tuesday night in Bulacan.

The suspect was identified as Eric Canlas, 38, who is the subject of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Honorio Gunlao Jr., Presiding Judge in Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 57, dated Jan. 31, 2017.

The operation stemmed from the complaint of another tricycle driver identified as Julius Jose, who had allegedly fought with the victim in 2015.

According to reports, Canlas chased Jose and hacked his arm and head during the altercation.

The suspect was taken to RSOU office for pending legal orders from the court. /ee
