2 suspected drug pushers killed in N. Ecija buy-bust ops
CABANATUAN CITY — Two suspected drug pushers were killed in separate police operations in Nueva Ecija over the weekend.
Col. Leon Victor Rosete, chief of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, identified the suspects as Mhel Ador Dionisio of Barangay San Pascual, Talavera, and Gil Martinez of Barangay Mayapyap Norte in this city.
Dionisio was killed by police officers after he allegedly opened fire at them during a buy-bust operation on the bypass road in Barangay Sampaloc, Talavera, at around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday.
Officers seized from Dionisio a .38-caliber revolver, a sachet of suspected crystal meth (shabu), and P1,000 worth of marked money.
On the other hand, Martinez was killed in a similar operation by the Cabanatuan City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit at about 1:50 a.m. on Sunday in Barangay Bantug Norte.
Investigators seized from Martinez a .38-caliber revolver, 10 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 worth of marked money, and a tricycle, according to Lt. Col. Ponciano Zafra, city police chief. /atm
