Jeepney driver nabbed for possession of illegal drugs in Pasay
MANILA, Philippines — A jeepney driver in Pasay City was arrested for possession of illegal drugs early Sunday.
The driver, identified as 30-year-old Oliver Rances, was arrested along Bayanihan Extension Street, Barangay 181, Maricaban in Pasay City around 2:00 am, according to a police report.
A team from the Pasay City Police led by Police Corporal John Faycho and Police Corporal Aaron Jed Reyes was deployed to the area to carry out the arrest.
Recovered from the suspect was one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing “undetermined quantity of white substance suspected to be ‘shabu’”.
The case has been referred to the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) for proper disposition.
Rances will face charges for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
