2 brothers nabbed in Bohol buy-bust
TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — Two brothers allegedly operating a drug business here were arrested in a buy-bust operation on Thursday afternoon.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bohol said it will file charges against Joseph Carlo Aguaviva, 28, who was the target of the operation; and his elder brother, Jan Ruel, 31, for the sale of illegal drugs.
Also to be charged was Jan Ruel’s girlfriend, identified as Cristina Limetares, 30, who was arrested when she allegedly handed the sachet of shabu (crystal meth)to an undercover agent while the two brothers were inside their house along Matuod Street in Purok 4, Barangay Manga, Tagbilaran City on Thursday.
The three were caught in a drug session, according to the NBI.
Seized from the suspects were 12 sachets of suspected shabu worth P90,000.
Article continues after this advertisementJoseph Carlo was jailed in 2018 on drug charges but was released as a result of a plea bargaining agreement.
He alleged obtained his supply from Bohol District Jail, but the police are still validating this. /ee
