BI blacklists sexual predator, warns errant foreigners
MANILA, Philippines — An Oman national who allegedly invited two Filipino women to fly to Thailand to meet him and perform paid sexual acts will be barred from entering the country, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said.
In a statement on Thursday, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Port Operations Division (POD) said it recommended the blacklisting of Khalid Khalaf Gharib Al Shuraiqi after his victims were barred from leaving the country at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia).
According to BI POD chief Grifton Medina, the two women were intercepted by operatives of BI’s Travel Control and Enforcement Unit (TCEU) at the Naia Terminal 2 last Sunday before they could board their flight to Bangkok.
Medina said that the two had admitted that they agreed to meet up with Al Shuraiqi, “who wanted to sleep with them together.”
“One of the victims said she was promised P5,000 a day if she and her companion would stay and have sex with the Omani for eight days,” Medina said.
The BI POD chief added that one of the women said she accepted the Omani national’s proposal due to financial constraints.

“These predators are preying on the vulnerabilities of our people, and do not deserve the privilege of entering our country,” Morente said.
“They pose a serious threat to our kababayan, especially the poor, who may be swayed by false promises of money,” he added. /gsg
