Fire hits warehouse in San Juan City; 2nd alarm raised

MANILA, Philippines — A fire hit a furniture warehouse in San Juan City on Wednesday afternoon, the city’s fire station said.

Fire Officer 3 Aldrin Bagasala told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview that the blaze that swept through the storehouse owned by SCT Furnishing Corporation reached the 2nd alarm as of 5:10 p.m.

It is located along R.J. Fernandez Street in Barangay (village) Kabayanan, he said.

No casualty was reported as of this posting, Bagasala said. Fire officers were deployed to extinguish the fire.

Authorities are still investigating what triggered the fire.
