PDEA chief: 20 actors, 11 actresses on drugs watchlist
MANILA, Philippines — Twenty actors and eleven actresses are among the 31 celebrities on the government’s drugs watchlist, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron Aquino said Wednesday.
“Of the 31, I think eleven are actresses and the rest are actors,” Aquino said in an interview with ANC’s Headstart.
“[Sa] thirty-one na yan, palagay ko tatlo lang yung matanda. All of them are young,” he added. “Puro bata, at least 20 or 30” in age, he said.
[Of the 31, I think only three are veterans. All the rest are young… at least 20 or 30.]
The PDEA chief revealed Tuesday that celebrities who use drugs go out partying in clubs.
However, Aquino said they could not yet name the celebrities pending confirmation.
“We can’t disclose the list to the public without undergoing some process of validation,” he said. /cbb
