MANILA, Philippines — “You are a ‘f…’ idiot,” President Rodrigo Duterte told dismissed former deputy director for administration of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) Eduardo Acierto, who had accused the chief executive and former PNP chief Ronald dela Rosa of dismissing an intelligence report about Michael Yang’s supposed link with illegal drugs.

Yang has been one of Duterte’s economic advisers, but his contract was terminated on Dec. 31, 2018.

“Binuko ko sila diyan, sabi ko, “You are a ‘f*****’ idiot, sila Acierto.” Kasi alam ko na. Sabi niya hindi ko raw binigyan ng importansya. Bakit ko bigyan ng importansya? Kayo ang nag-imbestiga, eh di gawin niyo ang trabaho niyo,” Duterte said in his speech during the distribution of financial grants to the beneficiaries of the government’s unconditional cash transfer program in Koronadal City, South Cotabato on Tuesday night.

[I told Acierto: “You are a ‘f******’ idiot.” He said I didn’t give the report importance. Why will I do that? You initiated the investigation, do your work.]

“Sabi niya hindi ko raw binigyan ng importansya. Alam ko siya na korap. Alam ko na siya na nag-kikidnap ng mga Chinese, pati ‘yung Koreano na pinatay doon sa Krame, siya ‘yun. T*ng *n* itong Acierto na ‘to,” he added.

[He said I did not give it importance. I know he is corrupt. I know he is behind the kidnapping of the Chinese, even the Korean who was killed in Camp Crame.]

Acierto had accused the President and Dela Rosa of blocking further investigation against Yang.

The President told the public not believe Acierto’s claims.

“Huwag kayong maniwala diyan… Lalo na ’tong si Acierto,” he said.

[Don’t believe it…. especially this Acierto.] /ee /atm
