2 suspected motorbike thieves killed in QC shootout
MANILA, Philippines — Two unidentified suspected motorcycle thieves were killed in a shootout Thursday evening in Quezon City, a police report said Friday.
In a report, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said they received a complaint from a certain Ivan Manabat who reported that two men forcibly took his motorcycle and mobile phone at a gas station in Brgy. Nagkaisang Nayon, Quezon City, at around 4 p.m.
Police officers manning a checkpoint were able to spot the suspects at around 10:45 p.m.
Instead of stopping at the checkpoint however, police said the suspects turned back.
The suspects then started shooting at the police officers at the checkpoint, who then returned fire, killing them.
Police said the victim later positively identified the suspects as the one who stole his motorcycle. He also positively identified the motorcycle used by the suspects.

Also seized from the suspects were two .38 caliber revolvers, four small packs of suspected “shabu,” and two mobile phones. /muf
