MANILA, Philippines — The next narcolist or the list of politicians involved in illegal drugs may also be released if President Rodrigo Duterte will order to do so, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Friday.
“That (releasing the next narco-list) depends on PRRD (the President’s initials) but if we file charges, then it will eventually come out in public,” Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, spokesperson of the DILG told INQUIRER.net in a text message.
Duterte revealed on Thursday in Davao City the narcolist that contained the names of 46 politicians, including 35 mayors, seven vice mayors, a provincial board member, and three members of the House of Representatives.

According to Malaya, the schedule of the possible release of the next list would depend on the timeframe of the investigation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Meanwhile, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Senior Supt. Bernard Banac said that concerned agencies are validating the alleged involvement in illegal drugs of more incumbent politicians.
“Patuloy ang pangangalap ng impormasyon at validation para pa doon sa di napapangalanan dahil alam nating marami pa ang hindi napapangalanan,” PNP spokesperson Senior Supt. Bernard Banac said in a press conference at Camp Crame.

The DILG filed on Thursday administrative charges of grave misconduct, conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service, conduct unbecoming of a public officer, and gross neglect of duty against the 46 officials.
Malaya said that the legal team of the DILG is also working on filing criminal charges on the named political personalities. /je
