A GRISLY sight met a woman out on a pre-dawn walk Tuesday: That of a tattooed man apparently strangled to death in front of her house.
Antonio Andales, 23, of Parola Compound, Port Area, Manila, was found dead in front of the house of Claire Mendoza at the corner of Lakandula Street in Radial 10, Tondo.
Based on the initial inquiry conducted by case investigator SPO3 Edgardo Ko of the Manila Police District’s homicide section, Mendoza was walking back to her house at around 3 a.m. when she spotted the body splayed near her doorstep, prompting her to inform the barangay chair. When barangay officials inspected the body, they found that Andales had marks on his neck as if he had been strangled.
The victim’s sister said she last saw him alive two days ago.
Investigators said that since no one saw the killing, it was possible that the victim was killed elsewhere and his body dumped in front of Mendoza’s house to mislead the police. Jaymee T. Gamil
