21 hurt in twin mishaps on Parañaque City road

TWO COLLISIONS took place on Tuesday on the stretch of Coastal Road in Parañaque City which left 21 persons injured.

Traffic investigator PO2 Lyndon Guerrero said the first happened at around 6 a.m. and involved a mini bus and a six-wheel cargo truck.

Eight people were hurt in the mishap which started when the truck lost its brakes and hit the rear of the bus at the intersection of Naia Road and Coastal Road.

One of those injured was Princess Magdasal, 31, who was brought by bystanders to San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pasay City.

Hours later, a passenger jeepney slammed into three other vehicles which were lined up in front of a toll booth on the Manila-Cavite Expressway.

The jeepney driver, Arnaldo Bustamante, said he lost control of his vehicle which smashed into another jeepney that then collided with two other vehicles.

As a result, 13 people were injured, investigator SPO2 Crisanto Veluz said. They were taken to San Juan de Dios Hospital for treatment. Miko L. Morelos
