The San Sebastian Stags will try to become the first team from the NCAA to win the title in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League as they face off against the reigning champions, Ateneo Blue Eagles, in the finals today over at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Stags have one foot in the door as they own a twice-to-beat advantage courtesy of their best record in the semifinals. San Sebastian also hold a psychological advantage over Ateneo as they beat the latter, 70-69, in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters will try to send off their 6-foot-10 giant Junemar Fajardo with a bang as they combat the San Beda Red Lions in the battle for third place game.

Fajardo, who in his five years playing for the Webmasters has gotten two championships and two MVP awards, is playing in his last game for UC.

The Pinamungahan-native has signed up to play for the San Miguel Beermen in the ASEAN Basketball League, which opens next month.

The Red Lions will be no pushovers, even without their main stars, especially after registering an 83-77 win over UC in the semifinals.
