SWS: Duterte admin’s satisfaction rating up by 16 points in December 2018

MANILA, Philippines — The net satisfaction rating of the Duterte administration soared 16 points in the December 2018 survey of theSocial Weather Stations (SWS) and was rated “excellent” in promoting women’s rights and in building and maintenance of public works.

The SWS survey conducted from December 16-19, 2018 found that 76 percent of Filipinos are “satisfied” while nine percent are “dissatisfied” by the performance of the administration, with 15 percent undecided on the matter for a net satisfaction rating of  +66 or “very good.”

This is a 16-point increase from the +50 net satisfaction rating in the September 2018 SWS poll.

SWS noted that the present administration was rated “excellent” in two of the 17  specific performance subjects — promoting women’s right, which garnered a net satisfaction rating of +71; and building and maintenance of public works, which obtained a net satisfaction rating of +70.

SWS conducted face-to-face interviews of 1,440 adults (18 years old and above) nationwide.

There were 360 respondents each in Balance Luzon, Metro Manila the Visayas, and Mindanao. It had a sampling error margins of ±2.6 percent for national percentages, and ±5 percent each for Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The pollster said it asked the respondents the following question:

“Sa pangkalahatan, gaano po kayo nasisiyahan o hindi nasisiyahan sa kasalukuyang administrasyong nasyonal? Kayo po ba ay: Lubos na nasisisyahan; Medyo nasisiyahan; Hindi tiyak na nasisiyahan; Medyo hindi nasisiyahan; o Lubos na hindi nasisiyahan.”
