“During a short transition period from March 23 to 24, there will be temporary limited access to certain IT services, such as online check-in, ticket purchases/bookings and purchase of certain Travel Extras and redemption of mileage privileges,” PAL said in a statement.

PAL, however, assured passengers that flight schedules will not be affected by the system upgrade.

The flag carrier advised passengers who will depart between March 21 and 25 to arrive early at the check in counters in the airport, bring a printed or digital copy of their tickers and receipts, purchase travel extras, and to make special requests ahead of their scheduled trips.

Passengers were also advised “to book ahead or plan for early purchases, upgrades, requests and redemptions to avoid any inconvenience during the cut-over period to the new system.” / gsg
