Suspected drug pusher slain, 2 nabbed in Quezon
LUCENA CITY, Philippines – Police killed an alleged drug pusher and arrested two others in buy-bust operations in Lucena City and Candelaria town in Quezon province Saturday night, police said.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives were about to arrest John-John Pureza,35, after he sold “shabu” to an undercover policeman when he reportedly resisted and shot the arresting officer with a caliber .38 revolver in Barangay Cotta at about 10:30 p.m.
Pureza missed his target and was shot and killed by a back-up policeman.
Police said the suspect was on the list of drug personalities in the city.
Lucena police also collared a minor and seized seven sachets of dried marijuana leaves weighing 7.68 grams in Barangay Isabang at about 11:20 a.m.

Police seized from the suspect seven plastic sachets of shabu weighing 1.45 grams with estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P9,860. /cbb
