MANILA, Philippines — A southbound train of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) unloaded passengers at the Boni station on Friday afternoon.
In a report from the train management, approximately 250 passengers were unloaded from the train at 12:52 p.m. after its motor encountered an electrical failure.
The passengers were able to board the next train, which arrived four minutes after the incident.
One of the causes of electrical failure of train motors is worn-out sub-components, the MRT-3 management said.
It assured that it would implement preventive maintenance and replacement of electrical components. /ee
