Man shot dead inside jeepney in Pasay City

MANILA, Philippines — A man commuting inside a passenger jeepney was shot dead along FB Harrison in Barangay 13, Zone 4 in Pasay City on Wednesday.

The Pasay City Police on Friday identified the victim as Jordan Cabarrubias, 35, who was riding the jeepney with his wife when the shooting happened.

Police said a certain alias Kadar or Catar, also a resident of Pasay City, who was riding a motorcycle suddenly appeared and shot the victim on his head and his body. 

The gunman fled the crime scene on board his motorcycle immediately after the shooting.

The victim was rushed to the Pasay City General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities are still conducting investigation to establish the identity of the assailant and the motive behind the killing. /jpv
