Tolentino to De Lima: Face drug charges
MANILA, Philippines – It is detained Senator Leila De Lima who is hallucinating.
Administration-backed senatorial candidate Francis Tolentino had this to say Wednesday after De Lima questioned his decision to withdraw his election protest before the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET).
De Lima said the former presidential political adviser should have pushed for his appeal if he was confident of his supposed victory on the 2016 senatorial race.
Tolentino, who placed 13th in the 2016 elections, claimed that there were irregularities in the counting of votes, which allowed De Lima to the 12th and last spot.
“Siguro siya rin ‘yung mag-stop (ng) hallucination and face the charges she’s facing right now,” Tolentino told reporters in a chance interview during Hugpong ng Pagbabago’s (HNP) campaign rally in Parañaque City.
