MANILA, Philippines — Operations of the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) had a minor interruption during Tuesday’s rush hour after one of its trains suffered an “electrical failure”

“Kinailangan nating mag-remove ng tren sa mainline bandang 7:47 a.m. dahil nagkaroon ng electrical failure sa interstation ng Quezon Avenue at North Ave,” Merrowen Mendoza, MRT-3 communications officer, told reporters over Viber

She said no unloading happened and operations normalized three minutes later.

MRT-3 currently has 12 trains running and another one preparing for deployment.

On Monday morning, a technical problem hit the MRT-3’s Guadalupe station that forced management to limit train service between North Avenue and Boni for about an hour. /cbb
