PANAGBENGA 2019: “Session in Bloom” trade fair opens in Baguio City

BAGUIO CITY — After the Panagbenga grand parade over the weekend, visitors and locals will be treated to food, music, and performances for one whole week as local officials formally opened on Monday the “Session in Bloom” trade fair.
Andrew Pinero, spokesman of Baguio Flower Foundation Inc. (BFFI), said the trade fair is the culminating activity of the annual flower festival.
The trade fair features various stalls along the Session Road, which has been closed to vehicular traffic since Sunday afternoon.
Pinero said the stalls along the upper and middle section of the Session Road are under the management of the BFFI.
The stalls after the Mabini Road and along lower Session Road are being managed by the Association of Barangay Captains.
Aside from food, there are also stalls that sell potted plants, including flowers, herbs, and fruit tree seedlings.
City Mayor Mauricio Domogan, Congressman Mark Go and city councilors led the ribbon cutting to formally open the trade fair./lzb
