MANILA, Philippines – Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by the easterlies are expected over the Eastern Visayan and Caraga regions, the weather bureau said Monday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned residents of the two regions of potential flooding due to possible severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies also due to the easterlies.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy skies due to the ridge of a high-pressure area, the weather bureau said.
Winds over extreme Northern Luzon will be moderate to occasionally strong from northwest to southwest, while coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough, Pagasa said.
Light to moderate winds from southeast to southwest is expected over the rest of Luzon, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds from east to northeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters, the weather bureau said. /cbb
