Water service interruption to hit parts of Quezon City, Valenzuela on March 4-7  

MANILA, Philippines — Several areas in Quezon City and Valenzuela will experience water service interruption from March 4 to 7, Maynilad Water Services Inc. (Maynilad) announced Wednesday.

Maynilad said the service interruption is due to the temporary shutting down of its North C and Commonwealth pumping stations in QC for major repair works and maintenance facilities.

The concessionaire said it will also conduct the interconnection of newly installed water pipes in Barangay Commonwealth and Barangay Payatas in Quezon City.

The areas to be affected by the water service interruption are the following:

March 4, 10 p.m. to March 6, 4 a.m.

Valenzuela City

-Ugong (Hobart Phase 1 and 2 and Doña Marciana Subdivision)

Quezon City

-Bagbag
-Bagong Silangan
-Greater Fairview
-Gulod
-Holy Spirit
-Nagkaisang Nayon
-North Fairview
-San Bartolome
-Santa Lucia
-Santa Monica
-Sauyo
-Talipapa

March 4, 10 p.m. to March 7, 10 p.m.

Quezon City

-Batasan Hills
-Commonwealth
-Payatas

Maynilad advised residents of affected areas to store enough water for the duration of the water service interruption.

The company also warned of possible delays in the resumption of the service due to several factors, including the area’s elevation, its distance from pumping stations, and the volume withdrawal from the main lines. /ee
