Man buying ‘taho’ injured in Taguig shooting

MANILA, Philippines — A man was injured in a shooting incident in Taguig City on Sunday as he was about to buy a cup of soy pudding, locally known as “taho.”

The Southern Police District on Monday identified the victim as Jeffrey Castro, 26, who was about the buy soy pudding when a certain Rushell Cobilla, 29, and an unidentified man shot him twice with unknown caliber of firearms.

Castro sought assistance from his friend near the crime scene, who later rushed him to Taguig Pateros District Hospital. Police said the victim sustained injury in his left abdomen.

The suspects immediately fled the crime scene on foot. Police have launched a manhunt against them. /je
