MANILA, Philippines — Thirty-four bricks of suspected cocaine were fished out of the sea off the coast of Surigao del Sur early Sunday.
According to the police report, two fishermen reported to local authorities about the bricks they had seen along the seawaters of Purok Santan, Brgy Bungtod, Tandag City in Surigao del Sur.
The provincial crime laboratory then conducted an inventory of the recovered substance. They noted that the bricks had dollar signs similar with those recovered in Dinagat Islands.
