LRT-2 passenger nabbed for carrying marijuana

MANILA, Philippines— A passenger of the Light Rail Transit-2 (LRT-2) was arrested on Saturday at the Cubao Station after being caught carrying marijuana, according to the Quezon City Police District.

Police identified the suspect as Francisco Ferrer, 47.

At around 2:30 p.m, security guard Robert Hagoot, who is stationed at LRT-2 Cubao Station, found Ferrer was carrying marijuana while conducting a routine inspection.

Hagoot found Ferrer carrying a medium-sized transparent ziplock pouch filled with 50 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves with an estimated value of P6,000.

Ferrer was brought to Quezon City Police Station 7 pending the filing of charges. /atm
