/ 03:10 PM February 21, 2019

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) warned that if a political advertisement does not indicate the name of the person or organization who paid for it, it will be taken down and charges will be filed against those responsible.

Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez said that a campaign advertisement which runs on print, broadcast, posters and billboards should indicate the words: “Advertisement paid for and by.”

He noted that there are some billboards or posters that do not abide by this rule.
