Suspected drug pusher slain in Laguna
SAN PEDRO CITY — A suspected illegal drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Sta. Cruz town in Laguna province on Wednesday, police said on Thursday.
Laguna police director Sr. Supt. Eleazar Matta, in a text message, said the suspect Arjen Dimaculang, a resident of Barangay (village) Pagsawitan, was among the drug personalities recently identified by the authorities.
Matta said the buy-bust happened around 11 p.m. on a road in Barangay Labuin.
When the suspect realized they were policemen, he allegedly drew his gun and fired thrice but missed. Police returned fire and killed the suspect.
Recovered from the suspect were a .357-caliber revolver and seven sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth)./lzb
