MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested a man in San Juan City on Tuesday after he allegedly demanded P50,000 from his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend in exchange for not uploading her nude photos online.
Reports from the San Juan City Police Station on Wednesday identified the suspect as John Paul Solaño. Also arrested was Solaño’s cohort, Joseph Roque.
Police said Solaño and Roque told the woman that they would delete copies of the photos should she agree to the deal.
According to police, the victim reported the incident to authorities, who then launched an entrapment operation in front of the Salapan Elementary School against the suspects.
Police arrested the two after receiving the P2,000 marked cash. The suspects were later brought to the San Juan City Police headquarters for inquest as they face complaints for violation of the Anti-Voyeurism Act and robbery extortion. /muf
