MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) is asking the public to beware of scams related to Valentine’s Day.

Bernard Banac told reporters on Wednesday at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

(Let us not fall prey to schemes, particularly those requiring monetary considerations, since such may lead to harm and inconvenience.)

The PNP likewise warned perpetrators of the various illegal schemes.

(To the perpetrators, stop victimizing and fooling people or you will be held liable.)

Banac also reminded police officers on duty to further beef up security in public places. / gsg
