Ex-inmate shot dead in Tejero

A former inmate was shot dead while he was walking along a road in barangay Tejero, Cebu City, yesterday afternoon.

Kenneth Baylon died on the spot.

Police said the suspect identified as Mark Ybañez fled after the attack.

The motive of the killing is still being investigated.

Police said Baylon was previously detained at the Cebu City jail.

Residents told police that Baylon was walking along D. Gaisano Street when he was waylaid past 3 p.m.

The gunman ran toward the interior portion of barangay Villagonzalo 2.

Responding police went to his house but he was not found there.
