MARIVELES, BATAAN — Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) brought their campaign caravan here on Wednesday morning, drawing about 10,000 people.

Gov. Albert Garcia and Mariveles town Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion welcomed Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and her regional party during its second-day rally held at the covered multi-purpose court of the Freeport Area of Bataan.

The presidential daughter appealed to the residents to support the candidacy and re-election of HNP senatorial slate.

Carpio said voting for their senatorial candidates would help Duterte’s administration to continue with its relentless campaign against illegal drugs and corruption.

Sen. JV Ejercito, chair of Senate committee on health, expressed full support for the improvement and upgrading of the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center and other health facilities in Bataan, including district hospitals.

He urged the parents to have their children vaccinated to avert a measles outbreak.

Sen. Cynthia Villar appealed to the farmers to make farming “just like a business venture.”

“We should grow crops that will survive the kind of climate that we have,” Villar told the crowd.

Of all senatorial candidates, only Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa failed to attend the rally here.

Imee Marcos was seen leaving the venue early to go to Olongapo City, where the party’s afternoon rally was held./lzb
