Collado leads Big Chill victory
JESSIE Collado emphatically put a stamp on a decisive 9-0 run with a booming three-pointer from the corner as the Big Chill defeated the PC Gilmore, 96-83, to ensure themselves of a slot in the quarterfinals of the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup yesterday at the Meralco Gym.
Big Chill, which improved to 6-3 (win-loss), won its second straight outing and dropped PC Gilmore to 0-5 for the season-opening tournament.
Collado, a burly 6-3 forward from Lyceum-Subic Bay, finished with 22 points on 8 of 17 field goals including 6-of-12 from beyond the arc, three boards and two blocks.
Jopher Custodio led all Supercharger scorers for the second straight game with 24 points, 22 coming in the first half, on top of eight rebounds.
Jewel Ponferada and Raffy Reyes also had 15 points each for Big Chill.
