2 nabbed, shabu worth P200K seized
KORONADAL CITY – More than P200,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were seized by authorities from two suspects Tuesday night and dismantled a drug den few meters from the South Cotabato provincial capitol grounds.
Dr. Glorio Sandig, action officer of Koronadal City Anti-Drug Abuse Council, identified the suspects as Mary Analie Nono, 42, and live-in partner Jose Angelo Alcazar, 42, both residents of Barangay Gen. Paulino Santos.
Sandig said Nono had been placed under surveillance after street-level drug peddlers pointed her as their supplier.
“The house of Nono was used as a drug den. It has many secret passageways used by users whenever there are police anti-drug operations,” Sandig said of the drug den.
“Nono was very elusive,” Sandig said.
Sandig said the raiding team recovered more than P200,000 worth of suspected shabu, paraphernalia and marked money from the two suspects.
