P13K ‘shabu’ confiscated from drug surrenderers in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippine — Over P13,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) was confiscated in a buy-bust operation against two former drug surrenderers in Quezon City.

Police said suspects Mark James Dean, 30, and Kathrina Angeline Natividad, 28, were the subject of the operation in an apartelle along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue in Cubao at around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Recovered from them were 27 sachets of suspected “shabu,” a black pouch, the buy-bust money worth P500, and a cellphone.

Police said Monday that the illegal drugs confiscated from the suspects weighed around two grams and is estimated to be worth P13,600.

The suspects were brought to the Cubao Police Station for disposition, pending the filing of drug charges. /ee
