Alleged drug pusher killed in Camarines Norte shootout

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – An alleged high-value drug pusher was killed Sunday night in a shootout with police anti-narcotics operatives in a drug operation in Paracale town in Camarines Norte province, a police report said on Monday.

Suspect Tetsuo Arfiesa Suda, 31, of Barangay (village) Mambalite, Daet town, transacted with a police undercover agent in Purok (zone) 6 in Barangay Bagumbayan at about 9:45 p.m., Sunday, Chief Insp. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said.

Sensing that it was a police sting, Suda allegedly pulled out a .36-caliber revolver and opened fire but missed the police poseur buyer, prompting the policeman to fire back. Suda was hit and died while being taken to the hospital.

Seized from Suda were 13 plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” with a street value of P15,000. /cbb
