MANILA, Philippines — The Chinese woman who splashed a policeman with soya pudding, locally known as “taho,” was formally charged before the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office on Sunday.

Jiale Zhang now faces charges of unjust vexation, direct assault, and disobedience to an agent or person in authority, according to the Eastern Police District (EPD).

Zhang threw her cup of taho at PO1 William Cristobal when the latter did not allow her to enter the Boni Station of the Metro Rail Transit-3 on Saturday amid a ban on certain liquids on trains.

The EPD said resolution on Zhang‘s possible deportation will be released on Monday. /cbb
