Fire hits informal settlers’ community in QC

MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out in a community of informal settlers in front of the Philippine Science High School in Quezon City on Saturday afternoon, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
According to Fire Officer III Paterno Boncodin, the blaze along Agham Road started at 3:23 p.m.
The fire then reached the fourth alarm after 20 minutes.
BFP declared the fire under control at 4:54 p.m., which firefighters then put out after more than 10 minutes.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the blaze. /jpv /atm
