P3.5M shabu seized in Quezon City buy-bust
MANILA, Philippines — Over P3.5 million worth of “shabu” was seized by the police in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City before dawn Thursday.
Police anti-drug operatives in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested four suspects in the operation. Arrested were Ruby Balani, Joshua Salazar, Mary Jane Duran, and Mineya Amorine, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported.
During the buy-bust, police confiscated a pack of shabu weighing around 500 grams worth P3.4 million and four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 20 grams worth about P136,000.
Police also seized from the suspects P1,000 cash and boodle money equivalent to P500,000 for half a kilo of shabu allegedly sold by the suspects to an undercover police officer.
According to NCRPO, a civilian asset reported the illegal activities of the suspects, who allegedly operating in Metro Manila and Bulacan.
