MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 3.9 earthquake shook parts of Quezon province Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its initial earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake struck 21 kilometers (km) west of Padre Burgos, Quezon at 2:01 p.m.
The earthquake was of tectonic origin had a depth of five km.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks are expected. /gsg
