MANILA, Philippines — Footage from closed circuit television cameras (CCTVs) recorded the shooting of National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) consultant Randy Malayao as well as his alleged killer.
The CCTV footage which were released by the Police Regional Office 2 (Cagayan Valley) on Wednesday were recorded from outside the bus where Malayao was shot and also from inside the bus.
Malayao was onboard a bus when his ride stopped in Aritao, Nueva Viscaya on January 30 when the gunman climbed aboard and shot him dead. Malayao was reportedly asleep during the incident.

In one of the CCTV footage, a man could be seen taking a photo of the bus where Malayao was in. In another footage, two unidentified men could be seen as if waiting for something. After a while, one of the men smokes a cigarette before boarding the bus.
Gunshots could then be heard in the footage just moments after the alleged gunman boarded the bus. The footage would later show the unidentified gunman rushing out of the bus with what appears to be a pistol still in his hand.
Police said that based on the CCTV footage, one of the persons of interest was wearing a jacket, pants, and a long scarf around his neck, another person of interest was also seen wearing a jacket, pants, and a cap.
The alleged gunman who boarded the bus was wearing a face mask, police said.
Facial composites of the two suspects in the killing were earlier released by the police. /muf
