MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.0 earthquake shook Davao Occidental on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the quake hit 36 kilometers (km) southwest of Sarangani, Davao Occidental, at 12:25 p.m.
The temblor, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of 174 km.
Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks are expected. / gsg
