Tricycle driver dead, wife critically hurt in Isabela collision

SAN MATEO, Isabela — A 50-year-old tricycle driver was killed in a four-vehicle collision that seriously injured his wife at the national highway in Barangay (village) Daramuangan Sur on Friday night (February 1).

The tricycle driven by Benjamin Senoja, 50, was struck and then dragged through the road by the trailer bed of a truck, which also slammed a passenger jeepney and a Navarra sports utility vehicle, said Senior Police Inspector Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson.

Senoja was killed in the collision, which injured his 50-year-old wife, Marilyn, who is being treated at a hospital.
