MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook Davao Occidental on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs reported in its updated earthquake bulletin that the temblor struck 56 kilometers (km) southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental, at 1:26 p.m.
The quake had a depth of 112 km and was tectonic in origin.
Philvolcs warned of possible aftershocks, although no significant damage is expected. / gsg
