New fastfood chain targets BPO workers

A GROUP of local businessmen recently poured in P30 million in investment for a new fastfood chain concept that’s positioned to tap the huge pool of employees in outsourcing companies, banking and students.

In a press launch last Monday, chief Cornerstone Food Express Corporation president Daryl Yuvallos announced the opening of Meal Time Food Factory that sells meal packages at only P49 located in Lahug, Cebu City.

Yuvallos said that they plan to flood Cebu with outlets and hope to partner with canteen operators, carenderias, convenience stores, eateries, sari-sari stores and grocery stores for their products.

“At present we also have five food carts that we will place in strategic locations in Cebu where there is high foot traffic. There will be two in Cebu City, one in Mandaue, Talisay and Lapu-Lapu City.”

For only P49, one can aready have two main courses, rice and a juice drink which according to Yuvallos is all worth the money that their customers pay for.

“Our existing capacity is 15,000 meal packs daily and we hope to increase through aggressive expansions within three year,” said Yuvallos.

Yuvallos added that they will also soon introduce Merienda Time packages that will offer snack items.  Reporter Aileen Garcia-Yap
