Senate run of 13 bets remains hanging

Comelec relasing list of Senate, party-losy bets on Saturday

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) bared on Saturday the 13 names with pending certificates of finality for the upcoming 2019 midterm elections.

The Comelec earlier announced that about 76 candidates were part of the partial list of senatorial bets for the May 2019 elections from the 152 applications that it received last October.

But Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez said that they were still waiting for the certificate of finality on the cases of the 13 senatorial aspirants who may still be removed from the list.

He, however, noted that no certificates will be issued today against the following:
