MANILA, Philippines — The traffic enforcement unit of the Manila Police District (MPD) advised the public on Saturday that a portion of the southbound lane along Roxas Boulevard would be closed on Sunday.
According to the advisory, the portion from Katigbak Drive up to President Quirino along Roxas Boulevard will be closed from 5 a.m. until 9 a.m. to give way for the Manila Bay Rehabilitation project.
However, the MPD noted that the actual closing and opening of the affected road will depend on the actual traffic situation in the area on Sunday.
The MPD also issued rerouting schemes in relation to the road closures.
- All vehilces coming from Bonifacio Drive intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard shall turn left to P. Burgos Ave. to point of destination.
- All vehicles coming from the Jones, McArthur, and Quezon bridge intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard shall go straight to Taft Avenue to point of destination.
- All vehicles traveling westbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue, shall turn right to Bonifacio Drive or make a u-turn to the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Ave. to point of destination.
- All vehicles traveling westbound lane of TM Kalaw St. going to Roxas Boulevard, shall turn left to MH del Pilar St. to point of destination.
- All vehicles traveling westbound lane of U.N. Avenue going to Roxas Boulevard shall turn left to MH del Pilar St. or utilize Roxas Boulevard service road to point of destination. /jpv
