Indian national robbed in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines  – A male Indian national was robbed by two motorcycle-riding men in Barangay Dita, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna on Thursday.

Supt. Eugene Orate, chief of the Sta. Rosa City Police Station told INQUIRER.net that investigators are now looking into the identities of the perpetrators through closed circuit television (CCTV) footage.

“We still haven’t identified them, but investigators are working to identify the [two men] who were spotted by CCTV cameras along the subdivision,” Orate said in a phone interview.

CCTV footage showed the victim alighting his motorcycle and entering his residence.

Less than a minute later, the two masked men emerged.

Spotting their target, the duo chased the victim and snatched the P8,000 cash from him.

“The modus operandi of the [two robbers] is to follow Indian nationals and eventually rob them,” Orate explained.
